The ILC's Language Counselling Service helps students:

to become competent language users
to find the right learning materials or effective learning strategies
to prepare for job interviews

to monitor their Chinese and English learning progress

Language Consultation Services

Students who would like to seek help from Chinese Language Counsellors can go to the ILC at the following time slots. Please note that Language Consultation hours are subject to change on a monthly basis. You can either go to the ILC Counter or phone 2609-8733 or 2609-8764 for same-day registration.

Here are the specialties of our Chinese Language Counsellors:

Dr. Vivian Chan Yin Ha: Putonghua, Cantonese, modern and contemporary Chinese literature, Hong Kong literature, literary theories, cultural studies.

Ms Cream Lee: Cantonese

Dr. Tan Mei Ah : Putonghua, Cantonese, English-Chinese translation, classical Chinese literature, sinology, Putonghua for foreigners, comparison of Chinese and Western Cultures.
