Academic Skills
These workshops promote improvement in key language skills needed for study. E.G. reading, writing essays, note taking, speaking including oral presentations and taking an active part in seminars. Students are also offered workshops that aim in particular at the academic skill development needed for business communication. E.G. memo and letter writing, business presentations, and report writing . |

Test Preparation
A range of workshops are offered in response to student demand for advice in the preparation for major English language tests such as IELTS, TOEFL iBT, GMAT and the CRE, EO/AO civil service recruitment process. Preparation focus is on format overview, hands-on practice of mock sections of the test, tips and strategies, and the introduction of recommended resources. |

Job Search
A range of popular and student-centred workshops are run at various times of the year to help in English language preparation for joining the workforce. Workshops include C.V. and letter writing, interview practice, and job advertisement analysis. |

These workshops offer the CUHK academic community a range of interactive practical language learning opportunities where English is used. For example, view and discuss movies, read about and discuss current events, explore cultural interests. Language focused workshops to support skill improvement are also offered including popular workshops for the introduction and extension of pronunciation building skills. |
