| Might see almost nothing of Mr.Liu as a colleague | Felt dominated and demeaned by Mr.Liu's approach to the interview |
| Job seems to offer training possibilities and chance to travel-both maore importance than salary right now | Low salary - even Mr.Liu admits that |
| This morning's inerview may not represent Mr.Liu's usual attitude or behaviour - it wasn't mine either | Hard for me to forget the bad impression I made at the interview |
| Mr.Liu likely to represent attiudes that are common in the company |
In the event, she turns down the offer.
There are three other advertised positions to which her qualifications seem
well matched, and she decides to apply for each of these, but to rewrite
her letter of application carefully, in the light of what she learned earlier
in the day
Mr.Liu is disappointed and surprised at her decision. He too is unhappy
at the way the interview went. He knows that he let his disagreeable mood
make him behave in a way that most applications would perceive as suspicious
and dominating, and that he has, as a result, lost for the company someone
who was certainly a well qualified employee, and would probably have been
a considerate and conscientious colleague. This was untypical behaviour.
He feels thoroughly miserable at having behaved like a bully, but there
is nothing he ( or you ) can do about that.
