Parallel Session 3b

Planning a Manuscript to Read Like a Research Paper

Date: 23 April 2026 (Day 1)
Time: 14:15 - 15:45
Speaker: Mr. Paul Nerney
Location: Digital Scholarship Lab
What constitutes a well-organized manuscript? This talk discusses earlier and later planning, and drafting strategies for organizing research findings into a new understanding of the topic. Why the focus on these strategies? Because journal editors are more likely to publish a research article with a new, clear, concise, and evidence-based understanding of a topic than an article that lacks one or more of the four above qualities.
